(Verse I)
Let Me Be In Tennessee,
Where the life really used to be.
Let Me Be In Tennessee,
I'll show you the window,
That we found in the wall.
We called 'til the wind rose,
And we couldn't hear nothing at all,
Not at all.

(V II)
Let me be in Alabam(a),
To dream the dream I think I am.
Let me be in Alabam(a),
I'll show you the reason,
That we reached for the sun,
And we cried 'til the seasons,
Weren't just changing, But done.
They were gone.

(Bridge)
Let me be where I would be,
If I could be, I would be with you.
Let me see what I should see.
Oh it would be so good seeing you.
Let me be where liberty,
Isn't dream but reality.
Let me be. Let me be. Oh let me be.

(V III)
Let Me Be In Tennessee,
Live the life I wanna' lead.
Let Me Be In Tennessee,
I'll show you the shadow,
That we found in the sea.
We called 'til the wind rose.
We couldn't get back our lost dream.
Our lost dream.

I don't know where this came from. The shadow in the sea was a pig someone found off the Florida coast, sunburned and swimming for its life. They were going to euthanize it for fear it may have a disease, after its survival at sea.
