(Verse I)
Abilene Please, Baby be a lady tonight.
Don't drink too much.
It always gets you into a fight.
Abilene Please, Baby be a lady tonight.
I was thinkin' maybe later,
We'd raid the refrigerator, 'round midnight.

(VII)
Abilene Please, Baby don't get crazy tonight.
Don't get too rough.
Remember how it turned out last time.
Abilene Please, Baby be a lady tonight.
I was hopin' in the mornin',
To get the percolator goin' right. All right,

(1st Chorus)
Abilene Please, Baby be a lady tonight.
I love you baby in your cotton dress.
Perspiration glistening on your chest.
Wear the earrings that I bought ya'.
I'm fishin' for ya' and I'm glad I caught ya'.
Abilene Please, Baby be a lady tonight.
'Cause I got a question for ya'.
Don't you know that I adore ya, Abilene?

(Verse III)
Abilene Please, Baby be a lady tonight.
Don't think too much.
You know I want ya' smilin' tonight.
Abilene Please, Baby be a lady tonight.
'Cause I wanna' ask ya' somethin',
Got to do with diamond rings, Abilene.

(2nd Chorus)
Abilene Please, Baby be a lady tonight.
I love you baby in your satin dress.
Throwin' the bouquet to all the rest.
I wanna' wrap my love around ya'.
I'm searchin' for ya' and I'm glad I found you.
Abilene Please, Baby be a lady tonight.
'Cause I got a question for ya'.
Don't ya' know that I adore you, Abilene?

(Coda)
Abilene Please, Baby be a lady tonight.

This is one for the country line-dancing crowd, not that it is suitable for line-dancing. Just that it fits that country bar scene, the cowboy/cowgirl couple, getting ready to go out, her putting on earrings with feathers in them, noticing they are similar to the flies on his rod and reel leaning on the wall next to the mirror. The midnight refrigerator scene is sexy. Verse II suggests that she got 'too rough' last time, and I see a guy knocked out, or at least down, outside the bar, her in the back seat of a sheriff's cruiser. Verse III reveals that he wants to ask her to marry him! In the 2nd chorus the 'cotton dress' of VI becomes a 'satin' dress. She's throwing the bouquet. Very video. A hit for you?
