Verse I
It's just her way, Of sayin',
'Thanks for the day.' She's prayin',
You'll understand,
He's tied her hands.
She hopes you'll see, She's achin'.
Her heart it seems, Is breakin'.
She hopes you'll try.
Her Hands Are Tied,

She cries every night,
When she thinks that he won't hear,
It seems such a crime,
To be imprisoned here,
She knows he's the one,
Who never tells her lies,
And she tries, To hide, The hurt, In her eyes.

(Chorus)
Her Hands Are Tied. Love Is A Rope.
Her Hands Are Tied. Love Is A Rope.
Her Hands Are Tied. Love Is A Rope.
Her Hands Are Tied.

Verse II (Verse Reprise?)
You got to share, Her smile,
For just a little while.
You got to see, What love can be,

She laughs every time,
That she's there in your arms.
She feels it's so right,
To be enraptured by your charms.
She knows you'll be gone,
By the look in your eye,
She tries, To hide, The hurt, In her eyes.

Her Hands Are Tied. Love Is A Rope.
Her Hands Are Tied. Love Is A Rope.
Her Hands Are Tied. Love Is A Rope.
Her Hands Are Tied.

I used to go out chasin' women and fortune in Tucson, Arizona. There was a country bar right outside the gate of Davis-Monthan Air Force Base where I might stop in on the way out or on the way in. I'd listen to the country bands and go home and write country Songs. If I went to piano bars I wrote that kind of Song. Rock n' roll bars, rock Songs. This must have been a country night.
