(Verse I)
She said, "Good Luck! I Hope You Make It!
Your soul is fragile! Living can break it!
Love can bend it u-u-up! Ha-ate can shake it!
(Chorus Refrain)
She said, "Good Luck; I Hope You Make It.!"

(Verse II)
Cover your he-ead. Here come the takers!
You can tell them a-pa-a-rt, By all the fakers!
Dogs can chew you u-u-up. Ca--ats can scrape ya."
She said, "Good Luck! Don't let 'em take ya!"

(First Bridge)
"Hold your head up hi-i-igh. The waters are ri-i-sin!
Your empty cu-u-up, is unsatis-fyin'!
It's not a ru-u-ule, But try not to break it!"
She said, "Good Luck! Good luck!" she said.
"I Hope You Make It!"
She said, "Good luck. Good Luck!" she said.
"I Hope You Make It!"

(Verse III)
Dinner's at eight! I hope you can make it,
But if you can't, Can you still fake it?
Love can break you dow-ow-own, Le-ave you for-saken!"
She said, "Good Luck! I Hope You Make It!

(Second Bridge)
"Hold out your ha-a-and. Your reward is waitin'!
A mouse or a man-a-an, The traps; they are bait-ed!
Try not to think about, How you are naked!"
She said, "Good Luck! Good Luck!" she said.
"I Hope You Make It!"

She said, "Good Luck! Good luck!" she said.
"I Hope You Make It."
She said, "Good Luck! Good luck!" she said.
"I Hope You Make It!"

In San Francisco in 1965, a reporter asked poet/songwriter/painter/chronicler, "song and dance man," Bob Dylan if he had any advice to others who might follow his path into public entertainment.

"Good luck," he said, and, laughing, "I hope you make it."

Here, fifty-five years later, 1965-2020, Dylan is still makin' it; money that is. (In 2019, The Croods survive life's ordeals and celebrate, saying, "Still alive!" So's Bob!

I put Bob's words in a woman's mouth when I sing it and it seems like it's about something, but I don't know what. It's from my 38-song "Out Of The Woodwork V" copyright collection.
