I've had your sex.
I've heard your lies.
I've seen your video-tape.
You make me want to close my eyes and scream
Your misdirection
Made me suspect
Something else was going on.
I watched you walk
Into the sunset
Until the sunset was gone.
I'm going on to paradise without you.
You may not get there
But Call Me If You Do.
I've had enough
Prevarication
To last my whole life through.
You make me want to trust you
Still it seems.
Miscalculations
In public relations,
Have turned Desire to Doom.
You're one of those girls who ambles in
And empties out the room.
I'm having my old fantasy about you.
You may not like it
But Call Me If You Do.
(Bridge)
Wipe that smile off of your face,
And damn your tears away.
There's nothing of yours in this place.
Why don't you get away?
I'm telling everyone my joke about you.
You may not get it,
But honey, they all do.
Too bad your sex,
Was just designed,
To climb the silver screen.
You made me want to
Hold you in my arms.
You tell me to take,
My own advice,
But I don't know what you mean.
You made me feel
The venom of your charm.
You did me harm.
I'm going on to paradise without you.
You may not get there
But Call Me If You Do.
You may not get there
But Call Me If You Do.
I may not get there
But Call Me If You Do.

I got taken on a trip and couldn't take my guitar. After about 48 hours I began to play, not by decision, but spontaneously in my head. When I got home I read "Sex, Lies, and Videotape: in the TV listings and wrote "Call Me If You Do." I exchanged the 'fantasy' line and the 'joke' line between verses. I liked the 'joke' line in the verse about 'empties out the room" but wanted to repeat the title refrain to end each verse. I changed "nothing for you" to "nothing of yours" for some reason. And "dab" to "damn." Edits for interests.
