(Chorus)
Come on! Let's go Back To Riverville.
We'll climb up on Ryman Hill,
Look down on the old home town we love.

Don't tell me, "No, Babe! You know we can't."
There's the high school where we danced.
You told me to take a chance on love.

The day after graduation,
You drove me to the station.
You said you'd wait no matter how long.

Come On! Let's go Back To Riverville.
We've old friends who live there still.
Don't say, "We can't pay the bills on love."

Don't tell me, "No, Babe! It's not enough."
Stick with me. I'll fill your cup.
You know you just can't give up on love.

I came home and couldn't find you.
I came to L. A. to remind you,
You said you'd wait no matter how long.

Come On! Let's go Back To Riverville.
We'll climb up on Ryman Hill,
Look down on the old hometown we love.
Come on! Let's go!

I bought a house at 1026 28th Street, Portsmouth, Ohio, and moved in during March and April and maybe May of 2002. This is the first song I wrote there, feeling for a Neil Young kind of pitch, rhyme and story. It got applause the first time I played it live on the green under the elms at Athens, Ohio. I don't think anyone's heard it since (now 2008).
